A proven problem solver with a passion for working on state of art CNC machines. Programs and enters command input for CNC machines for mullions, horizontals and other miscellaneous parts according to drafting/engineering blueprint schematics using FSTCam Sofware (for FOM CNC) and Elucad Software (for Elumatic CNC). Produces machined part by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.

Working together to support the operations teams in reducing downtime and increasing production.
What you will do
Create the contours, angles and saw cuts from drafting/engineering blueprints; entering the command inputs into CNC software and modifying as needed.
Sets up CNC machine and ensure it is running properly daily.
Machines according to engineering blueprints/drawings, materials, specifications and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Responsible for maintaining CNC software database.
Troubleshoot when CNC Machines have error messages and where manual programming methods must be applied
Develop effective relationships with key departments and facilitate good communication between drafting, engineering and the CNC department.
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part and sample work pieces.
Properly and safely loads and unloads mullions/extrusions on CNC machinery; run the piece of extrusion or part on the machine; meets or exceed reasonable targets and company’s quality standards.Completes a daily production report; records and maintains log of machines’ performance, downtime, duration of downtime and explanation.
Performs daily regular maintenance (i.e. cleaning) on CNC machine and work area.
Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Location : Alliston
Work Time: Monday to Thursday ( 4:00 pm to 2:30 am )
Work Term: Full Time Contract position (Permanent position will be considered after 6 months based on performance )

A diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in machining.
Minimum 6 months experience in CNC is must
Ability to interpret drafting/engineering drawings and documents as related to manufacturing processes.
Excellent computer/technical skills.
A good understanding of mathematical principles in the application of equations, solution of arcs and angles and knowledgeable in trigonometry.
Ability to use a measuring tape and interpret both Metric and Imperial units.
Prior experience using FSTCam Software and/or Elucad Software an asset.Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
Knowledge of First Aid and CPR preferred.
